Intelligent Shop (intelligent.shop) - A brand new men’s lifestyle products store, creating innovative new products to help men become the best version of themselves.


Animal Farm Family is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intellectual Property (Trademark) Counsel specializing in patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an IP Attorney or Counsel and possess the expertise to identify and manage IP risks effectively. The IP Counsel will be a key member of our legal team, ensuring the protection and strategic management of our intellectual property assets.


Key Responsibilities


Trademark  Management

  • Oversee the registration, maintenance, and renewal of trademark assets, ensuring that all trademarks are properly filed and protected across various jurisdictions.
  • Offer legal advice on trademark strategy and brand protection, including advising on branding strategies and assisting with licensing agreements. This involves collaborating with marketing and legal teams to ensure trademark compliance and address any legal challenges.
  • Trademark Protection
  • Oversee the development and enforcement of the company’s trademark portfolio.
  • Conduct trademark searches and clearance opinions.
  • File and prosecute trademark applications globally.
  • Monitor and enforce trademark rights against infringement and dilution.
  • Provide guidance on branding, marketing, and advertising initiatives to ensure trademark compliance.


Trade Secrets Management

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to protect trade secrets.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on trade secret protection.
  • Advise on confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other protective measures.
  • Handle trade secret litigation and dispute resolution.


Risk Identification and Management

  • Identify potential IP risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Advise on IP aspects of technology licensing, development agreements, and joint ventures.
  • Collaborate with R&D, product development, and marketing teams to ensure IP 
  • compliance.


Legal and Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay current with changes in IP laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance on compliance with international IP laws and treaties.
  • Represent the company in dealings with IP offices, regulatory bodies, and external counsel.
  • Other duties to support the Legal department.


Job Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar where you reside .
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IP Attorney or Counsel with a focus on trademarks and trade secrets; patent prosecution experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience in IP litigation, portfolio management, and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate IP risks.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay current with the latest developments in IP law and technology.


Compensation: 

The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000 per year/year depending on experience. The total compensation package may include performance bonuses, benefits, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
