Description

Gorilla Mind (gorillamind.com) is a rapidly growing brand in the fitness, health and sports nutrition supplement space. We are looking for a talented and seasoned Graphic Designer to join the Creative Team and support a range of design-related initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visual concepts, designs, layouts and packaging that effectively communicate our brand message and engage our target audience. The Graphic Designer will work closely with the marketing, product, retail and creative teams to develop compelling content for packaging, digital and print executions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Design: Develop visually appealing and impactful designs for a variety of marketing touch points, including: web, social, digital, print and POP/retail.
  • Packaging/Production Design: Assist in product packaging development, ranging from initial product/label concepts to ongoing label updates to final file prepping for print production.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all creative materials align with the brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across all platforms and media.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product and development, to conceptualize and implement creative solutions that meet marketing and branding objectives.
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Keep up with design trends both within and outside of the sports nutrition industry, as well as follow emerging technologies and software updates to keep the brand fresh and relevant.
  • Content Adaptation: Resize and adapt existing design materials for different platforms and formats, ensuring optimal visual presentation.
  • File Management: Organize and maintain a library of creative assets, including logos, photos, and design files for easy access and use.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Exceptional Design Skills: Understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, layout techniques, and composition. Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and familiarity with web design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or similar) is critical.
  • Packaging Design: Experience in physical packaging design, including labels, cartons, shrink sleeves etc. Must have experience in printing processes, ink and color systems, materials, general proofing, working with print vendors, press printing, digital printing, etc., as well as experience creating print-ready files with effects like spot varnishes, white layering for metallic substrates, and creating color separation layers in Illustrator.
  • Strong Portfolio: Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a related creative role, with real-world examples showcasing a range of design projects in print, digital and packaging.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Ability to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to solve design challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail, with a focus on delivering pixel-perfect designs.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with team members.


Location:

We welcome applicants from across the U.S., whether you prefer to work remotely or join us in person at our Boise, Idaho HQ. 


Compensation: 

The base salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 per year depending on experience. The total compensation package may include performance bonuses, benefits, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
