Gorilla Mind (gorillamind.com) is a growing E-commerce Fitness & health supplements brand centering around pre-workout, post-workout, protein, nootropics and other products to support all fitness goals. We seek a strong marketing leader to join our team to support our continued growth and success.

Gorilla Mind’s Marketing Director will be in a cross-functional position responsible for various facets of online operations and marketing strategies. The Marketing Director provides a thoughtful analysis of market trends, increasing brand awareness, insight into growing online sales, and ways to improve customer acquisition and retention. The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing leader in E-commerce and overseeing Affiliate Marketing at a high level with a passion for health and fitness. We are seeking a Marketing Director who can work at our Boise, ID, office, but we are also open to remote for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the marketing department and provide insight to other marketing professionals
  • Manage brand marketing budget and strategy for the entire calendar year
  • Strategize and manage negotiations with brand affiliates/athletes, explicitly analyzing the influencer revenue ratio
  • Analyze and take action on key marketing metrics (CAC, ROAS, contribution margin, New Customer vs. Returning Customer analysis, etc.)
  • Plan omnichannel strategies for product launches, sales/promos, etc.
  • Responsible for producing valuable content for the company's online presence, editorial design and organizing the company's publications
  • Maintain a strong brand narrative and voice for the company, ensuring that critical messages are integrated and consistent throughout all customer/affiliate experiences
  • Conduct general market research to keep up with trends and competitors' marketing movements
  • Constantly optimize marketing activities to improve ROI and engagement
  • Become Gorilla Mind's agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders and potential clients and build strategic partnerships

Requirements and skills

  • Successful track record in a senior marketing role
  • Experience in digital, content and social media marketing
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to plan and manage year-long budgets
  • Previously managed marketing channels outside of just partnerships (email, sms, organic social, paid social, paid search, SEO, PR/press, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of key marketing metrics and how to analyze and take action on them (CAC, ROAS, contribution margin, New Customer vs. Returning Customer analysis, etc.)
  • Previously managed individuals that span multiple teams (social, content/creative, partnerships) and also any agency partners
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords
